Etisalat, a telecommunications operator, has introduced a mobile gift promotion in Egypt in cooperation with McDonalds. The project was launched in the first week of 2014 as a pilot for the Egyptian market and an extension of the eTopup, eVoucher and eLoyalty programs already widely present in the UAE.
The mobile network operator offers free McDonalds burgers to prepaid account users when charging their prepaid phones with over 15LE credit. Owners of prepaid mobile phones can now receive a free extra burger in all McDonalds branches across Egypt just for charging their mobile accounts.
To participate in the promo, customers send a free SMS message to 429. Activating bonus points is achieved via the dial&tap solution on Margento terminals.
This service represents an important landmark in developing new products and services for the Egyptian market based on Margento technology.
